It would be good to get it checked by a Dr. However, remember you’ve other options other than what the physician suggests to solve menstrual troubles. Endometriosis is a possibility and though I am normally not a supporter of the pill or other synthetic hormone treatments, with endometriosis I do support it's use to allow the uterus to heal and prevent further damage.

The amount of flow you’re getting with your period isn’t normal. And despite what many women believe cramping with your period isn’t a healthy part of menstruation. When our bodies are able to function as designed with proper hormone balance and nutrients, there is no cramping. The cramping and heavy bleeding is often a symptom of hormone imbalance and nutrient deficiency. There are natural ways of balancing your hormones by supporting and strengthening your endocrine system (hormone control) so that your hormone balance improves. There are herbs and supplements that can help. Each person is different, so seeking the help of a qualified natural health practitioner or better yet a good, qualified Natural Doctor can be very helpful. A couple that I and others I know of have found help with are Maca (MacaSure is a good brand I use and trust) and EstroSense from Lorna Vanderhaeghe. Here are the links to info on those:

I advocate seeing a physician. But do remember you have other options as well.

Ideal wishes. Feel free to email me if you have further questions.

If you’re truly scared, call your doctor. It is superior to check it out and make sure it is nothing than to not and worry yourself needlessly. It would be ideal to make sure you don't have Endometriosis or anything like that.

Sometimes the lining of the uterus can be thicker, which makes your period heavier. It is perfectly natural to have your period vary. Also, the sides of your uterus alternate months for shedding, so one month can be extremely light and the next month heavier.

You can go on birth control to help minimize cramps and lighten your period. It also helps to even out your period.

I had kind of the same period type since I was 11, then this summer they went crazy just like yours. I hate it and I don't know why this is, but my mother told me it was normal because as a woman's body develops it wants its eggs to get fertilized more urgently or w/e, so somehow the cramps get worse and are usually eased with pregnancy.

Or birth control, which just tricks the body to think its pregnant :(
Thats all I know, but it SUUUUCCCCCKKKKKKSSSS!!!!!!

Answer:
I know where you're coming from! Periods can be debilitating at times. Try a magnesium supplement to help with the cramps, but really you should visit a physician! He may request an ultra sound or put you on birth control. Hope you feel better x
