who does spermicide effect? is it true that if you have an std that you should not use spermicide, and that it irritates you automatically. if you don’t have an std then does it still effect you? more or less? why does spermicide irritate the vagina and surroundings of the vag? If you’ve an irritation should you douche? and if so how often? what if spermicide irritates you, yet it is used on condoms, is there a way to remove the spermicide? without losing the condom's effect? if so how is a good/proper way to remove it? even though they do make condoms without spermicide, please do not tell me to just go out and purchase non-spermicidal condoms, this issue concerns spermicidal lubed condoms, only, and the effect it has on the vagina.

Answer:
Why would you try removing the spermicide from a spermicidal condom instead of just buying a condom that doesn't have it? I'm pretty sure that would ruin it and it would be susceptible to breaking. By the way, condoms with spermicide aren't proven to be any more efficient in preventing pregnancy than non-spermicidal ones.

Anyways, yes if you’ve an std or infection then spermicide can irritate you. It can also irritate you if you’re allergic to the chemical that’s used in spermicide, so you shouldn't use it any more. Also if you use spermicide multiple times a day it can give you an infection because it is messing with the normal bacteria in your vagina. And you could douche if you want, though it is not really recommended by physicians. The vagina is a self cleaning organ, so you shouldn't have to douche (it can give you an infection) and if you do anyways, you should NEVER do it frequently.

Answer:
Some women are more sensative to it than others and it could cause itching and or rash regardless if you have an std or not.

I would definately NOT douche it you have irritation. I would envision that would make it worse. Douching really isn’t ideal for women anyway cause it removes the natural moisture in the vagina.

Answer:
ok here is my question to u, why do u think that u need spermical lube anyway. if it bothers u i dont ink u should use it. and i would not douche that would not help and probably make it feel worse. i would really not use it. u might be allergic.
