I got a very light spotting for about 5 days before my period was due. It was so light that only a very little pinkish spot would be on the liner at the end of the day. I usually have a medium the heavy flow with no cramps. I thought that this spotting would be taking over the place of my period but, it turns out it didn't….I guess? I got my regular flow period a week later but, I’ve lower abdominal pain once in a while now. What could be the causes of this happening? And has this happened to anyone else before, if so what was the problem?

Answer:
I always spot a week before my period. It happens to my mom, and started happening to me when I moved back in with my parents for a while. I guess her hormones threw mine off. Funny thing is, it still happens to me even though I haven't lived with my mother for 2 years now. Not sure what causes it. Women's bodies are just complicated I guess.
