hi girls,
why do i get really hungry before and on my period? i crave really salty and sweets foods.
Answer:
During that time you lose a lot of blood, therefore you lose a lot of iron and other nutrients.. So your appetite increases so you can have enough energy.. That's why you crave sweet and salty things - they are very energetic. In my case, my appetite increases in the week before I have my period. However, during the time that I'm actually on my period, the cramps and nausea that I experience makes it very difficult for me to eat properly, and I tend to feel very weak (people in my circumstances are usually at risk of having anaemia, especially if they have a heavy flow)… So keep in mind that every person has a different way of 'coping' with this awful part of their lives, but the explanation is the same for everyone…Lol
Answer:
Because your body REALLY does need extra calories at this time!! Honestly!! Just try not to get them in the form of rubbish food!!
