no im not going to take a pill overdose!

Answer:
When you have to give a speech it is best not to take any sort of medication or herbs– the reason, you simply do not know how it is going to affect you. Your goal is to be alert, but less nervous.

Practice your speech over and over. Look in the mirror when you talk, practice it in front of your family. Know your speech–

When you give your speech–don't read it, look up at people.

Prior to giving your speech envision yourself speaking and breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Controlling your breathing is one of the MOST effective ways of coping with "nerves". Practice doing this.

Answer:
Take a Benadryl or some allergy pill with an anti-histamine. Take 1. Thats it. No more, no less. You will feel drowsy but calmer. Not the best way, but the best for OTC meds.

Answer:
Instead of taking any pills which could make you feel drowsy, sleepy etc I'd suggest that you take some herbal tea. Linden tea is great for relaxation, i drink it when I'm nervous. Chamomile tea could help too. good luck with your speech
