I also experience frequent migraines which I am being treated for. I’ve been trying to find info about deep eyecups but I can’t find anything. Please help.

Answer:
It CAN be an indication of Glaucoma which is a condition of elevated pressure within the eyes. It doesn't always mean Glaucoma however. Some people just have deeper “cups” in there eyes than others. This cupping is referring to the optic disc in the eyes. Routine eye exams should be done to check on the cupping to make sure that it is not changing for the worse because sometimes deeps cupping can indicate other eye diseases as well. If Glaucoma runs in the family, you’ve a higher chance of developing it as well. As for the migraines, they could be related…if Glaucoma is present, or elevated pressure in the eyes, headaches can occur. I am an Ophthalmic Technician. Hope this helps.

Answer:
Yes, the doctor would have noticed. Not all doctors will voluntarily tell you so you may want to ask at your next visit if your pressures are normal or not.
