my right eye is 20/10 and my left eye is 20/100. My left eye went from 20/30 to 20/100 in a year. Two years ago my left eye was 20/25. I never wear glasses to school.

Answer:
Yes or your left eye will go blind.

Answer:
I think you should wear your eyeglasses when you need to. You might find that reading the board at school is much easier when you can do it with both eyes. You don’t have to wear them all the time. I suggest bringing your eyeglasses case with you to school so you can store your eyeglasses when you’re not using them. If you drive or plan on driving, I recommend that you wear eyeglasses when doing so. There might be other activities at school where good distance with both eyes would be helpful for you. You left eye might get worse as you are growing, but it will not be as a result of not wearing eyeglasses.

You may also want to take into account a contact lens for your left eye to better balance your vision. There’s less image distortion with contact lenses and you might find them to be much easier to wear then eyeglasses.

I have a similar situation to yours. My right eye is has close to normal vision 20/20 but I struggle a little to read the line. My left eye has between 20/50 and 20/60 vision. I was prescribed eyeglasses as a teen to correct it, but did not begin using them until my 30s. I do not think it was a good decision on my part looking back on it. I usually wear a contact lens in my left eye most of the time and eyeglasses as needed.

Answer:
If I were you ( I probably am but need to go to the optometrist), I would
- talk to people on webcam, then they realize and go ' oh you wear glasses, I never knew that'. Then the people will know you already have glasses and it won't be a large deal when you actually wear them to school.

- just tell your friends that you went to the optometrist and he stated you need glasses. they’ll comprehend

- just wear them a few lessons a week until you’re more comfortable and increase it from there.

But the thing to remember is that you must follow the orders from the physician. I will probably be needing glasses when I go to the optometist- so I will probably have the same problem

Answer:
Hello..I'm in a similar situation to you (my left eye is 20/20 and my right eye is 20/200) and I only use my glasses when I need to (eg looking at the blackboard, driving etc). I don't use them for near work like reading.
You should use glasses only when you need to- you don't need to wear them all the time OR you can get a contact lens for your left eye to help balance your vision.

Good Luck!

Answer:
You know what you see without your glasses.
You know what you see with them on.

If you’re able to see well enough at school without them, then thats OK. If you’re struggling/straining a lot then put them on. Thats all you need to consider.

Wearing or not wearing your glasses has totally no effect on future changes in your sight, its mainly genetics. You will not go blind if you don't wear them. Neither will your sight get better if you don't. It will probably get worse gradually as you get older regardless.

The answers above are incorrect.

Answer:
Yes. That's why your eyes got worse.
To prevent your eyes from getting worse, to enable you to do your work properly in school, and to be able to function in school.

I didn't wear my glasses to school for eight years and my eyes got worse because of it; not to mention it was very hard to do stuff in class.

Wear your glasses!

Answer:
stop wearing glasses at all…learn to see again stop staring! LOOK at things don't blure your vision.
