I was thinking about getting transition lenses when I order my next pair of glasses. Anyone else have these? Are they worth it?
I heard that after a while, the lenses stay darkish, even when you ar einside. Is that the case?
Thanks, my fellow consumers!
Answer:
I did not like them because they did not transition quickly enough when entering or exiting a dimly lit place.
Here's what I did. If your prescription has not change drastically, take your old glasses to Wal-Mart and they can dye your old lenses into Sunglasses. No kidding! It only costs about $10. Green is the ideal color to get as they just cut glare.
Having a good pair of prescription Sunglasses is great!
Just get clear lenses with your knew glasses.
Answer:
With newer technology, transitions lenses have gotten better. But with age (after a year or two) they will not work at optimal perfomance. The most important thing to remember is that the lenses need ultraviolet light to darken. If you want them primarily to darken while driving on sunny days in your car, they won't do so well. This is because your automobile windshield filters out ultraviolet light (that is needed for lenses to darken).
Answer:
had them a long time ago when they first came out. they would stay dark inside the longer i had them but would lighten back up. my insurance wouldn't pay for them when i redid my glasses. but i want to get them again.
Answer:
I love mine and have had them for years and they work the way they’re susposed to! Buy them by all means You'll never regret it
