i really want contacts but last year the eye doctor said she had to put them on me first before i even try to put them on myself but when she was putting them on my eye stung/hurt a lot! so i ended up just getting glasses.
was it suppose to sting that bad??
this year im gonna try again but does anyone have tips on easier ways to putting them on??
should i practice with eye drops?
Answer:
I had the physician put them in for me too. It felt enjoy it was stinging, but it was actually just cold. You get used to it the more you put them in. I got used to the feeling in like a week or so.
When I put them in, I put the contact on my pointer finger and pull my bottom eyelid down with my middle finger and open my eyes as much as I have the ability to. It's simple to put them in like that. I have a hard time taking them out, so I sort of push them to the side and then pull them out like that.
Answer:
It's not supposed to sting a lot, but it might be uncomfortable because you are putting an object in your eye and are not used to it. Try putting the contact in palm of your hand, then dripping the solution all over it so that it is wet and flexible before going in your eye.

My eye physician is my aunt so I got contacts when I waz 8 or 9.when I first put contacts in it stung.I think it was just because I had never even gotten close to touching my eye before I kept blinking maybe you aren't used to things touching your eyes it also might have been that the contacts were cold.If it was your first time trying contacts it should have stung at least a tiny.Your eyes might be sensitive I think there are softer contacts for more sensitive eyes.
Answer:
It might be possible that either the sting was just coldness, maybe the physician didn't put the contacts in right..or maybe those contacts just weren't good for u. Maybe you need a more moist kind of those weren't suitable for your eyes, thus making your eyes sting.

Answer:
Well it's going to be uncomfortable at first. Just take a breath and rest when putting them in the first few times. It takes about a full week to get used to but after that it will be no large deal. Good luck!
