They smoke around their kids.. they are aging faster, getting cancer, heart attacks. It just gets harder and harder on the children. Now that I'm older, I find it extremely selfish and I'm very angry to have to deal with this.

Selfish and addicted to a terrible disease. I blame the tobacco companies for starting all this. They knew about nicotine and its addictive qualities and they knew they had a cash cow. They got rich, and are getting rich, off of killing people. Sort of like the military industrial complex.

yes. my whole family smoke except from me and i hate it!! they smoke outside but still. and it makes me so angry when you see people smoking around their children!

Actually, each time I look to a smoker who has a child I feel so bad. Yes they are very selfish especially when they smoke inside the house, anyway even if they smoke outside they are still selfish. Thank god that my parents never smoked, I would say if you love me dad you wouldn't slowly kill yourself and leave me alone.

of course it is. my dads a smoker and has been since he was my age (17, he's almost 50) and he's always done it around me and my sisters. i hate it because it makes me choke, my heart starts to hurt a lot and then when i ask him to put it out he gets all pissy. now my older sister(22) has picked it up. it's always upset me because it's like, i don't want my dad dying on me in a few years. that's probably the biggest reason why i absolutely hate when people smokes. because it kills them AND the people around them, both mentally and physically. they dont care that they are killing themselves everytime they take a puff and then people have discovered that second hand smoke is more dangerous.
but the mayor of st.louis has been trying to get an increase on cigarettes. maybe then since it'll get so expensive some will stop.

Yes .. it's sad because i know the addicting is hard but thinking about not seeing your daughter getting married and not having the father daughter dance with her because you died of lung cancer is awful .. i don't see how that motivation wouldn't make you stop ..

this has gotten way out of control tobacco is not that bad i was raised in a home of smokers and i am fine. I wouldnt smoke around my grandkids, but this all came from the govt wanting healthcare for all americans and the insurance companies not wanting to serve smokers. People who are pron to cancer are goin to get it even if they dont smoke.
