Is there anyway, or reason, they would grant a pregnant disorganized schizophrenia and her lover, a agoraphobia who now refuses to live the house in fear of having a panic attack in public, to keep the child?

hmmm hard one, I personally would state no. The child needs the right care and stimulation and its critical those first three years of the childs upbringing to be brought up in a caring environment and where the mother and father are both (or at least 1 of them) are able to take them out, build on their social skills, teach them how to be independent etc, and I dont think this could happen properly in these conditions. So I would say I would let them have regular supervised visits, just until the doctor has seen a change in at least 1 of the parents. The parents also may worsen their condition if they have the stress of a child to worry about and they will need to concentrate on themselves at this crucial point in their lives, so help is always the best option. Sometimes you can't be selfish and think of yourself, and you just have to think of this child's life. So many children turn out like their parents if they’re brought up in an upbringing like this, and I do not judge people like this, but the child has to be put first. I'd see how it goes, and seek help all times.
