I have lived with depression for many years.
I’m much worse in the mornings.
I can't do anything, feeling very anxious and need to be quiet with no pressures.
I’m retired now but unable to enjoy the time I’ve as I don't really feel a little superior until the afternoon, but as I’ve felt anxious all morning I am fatigued so sleep for a couple of hours in the afternoon.
I’m wasting my life!
Any ideas to help me please?

I think you should set yourself tiny targets each morning. Just do a couple of small things each morning like wash the floor or clean the windows. Then as the other lady said, go to the local shop to get the paper or the milk. Could you go to a cafe and have cup of tea and a cake Like this you’ll feel you have reached something and it will make you feel better about yourself. You are not wasting your life if you are ill. Could you get some medicine to give yourself a little lift. Never feel guilty about what you can or cannot do, you’ve an illness. I hope you’re getting help from your doctor. If you had a broken leg you would have a cast put on it, if you’ve a broken mind you need so medicine to boost it.

Hello
There are many natural approaches that could help. There is evidence that a lack of essential fatty acids can contribute towards depressive feelings and low mood. Also vitamin B is thought to be essential for a healthy nervous system. There are natural remedies in some herbs that can increase your energy level, mainly Rhodiola, St John's wort and Ginseng. Try to pratice daily relaxation or some other alternative therapy. Your body will rest but without falling asleep so hopefully you’ll feel more energised. Have a look at the website Natural Ways For Women for more natural ways you can adopt into to your lifestyle to help you feel better.
