From an adult who went thru the same thing…

You can't. Either she will accept you or she won't. you can't make her do it.

get thru the years you’ve to live there. then get out. find people who do.

Answer:
Sadly the issues have continued for the past 25years & not got any superior. Maybe its time to let go. You could just write her a letter telling her how you feel & how you wish the relationship to be, if you find it difficult to speak. this can be quite therapeutic for you. Report Abuse

Answer:
talk to her ask her what she and others anticipate of you then do some deep soul searching-you havnt give much details in ur question but as a mom myself i know things must b pretty bad for your mum not to approve of you-but i can guarantee she loves you more than you'll ever know and im sure if you talk with her she’ll want to help you through

Answer:
You don't need your mother's approval to be a wonderful person. You need to be happy with yourself and spend time with people who appreciate you and make you feel good about yourself. She is the one who will lose out not you!
