you have to go to a neuropsychologist to get tested for it.I have ADHD,so I think because I might have bipolar and it's similar to ADHD,and they stated i have inattentive type.It's not really a life threatening illness but it's a pain in the *** to concentrate and sit still so don't worry about telling your parents that you want to get tested for it

The doctor would refer you to a specialist who then conduct phsyc tests. Its not too bad having ADD, they just give you advice to help you in day to day living.

It doesnt mean you'll be put onto medication either, its a option but not entirely needed.

Tell your doctor and he will give your teachers and parents forms to fill out and maybe you’ll need testing and then he will prescribe drugs, it is a long process though…

generally people who have add dont know they’ve it its one of the symptoms and if you really had add your parents and doctor would already know.
