Panic Attack or What?!?

Author: admin

This has happened 2 me 1 or 2 times and now it seems 2 happen more but I think it might be b/c I keep thinking about it and hoping it doesnt happen. My symptoms are this….they begin out slow and then I start freaking out and the symptoms gets worse. I feel like i can't breath and my heart starts beating really fast, my hands get shaky and tingly feeling, and I feel like I'm breaking into a sweat but I'm not really sweating. Then sometimes like if Im at work or a restaurant I feel like everyone that’s speaking sounds all blurred together. And I just sit there feeling my pulse and hoping I don't pass out or die.

I read what panic attacks are and it seems like that could be it and from what i read it seems like a panic attack is all in your head like theres nothing physically wrong its just your mind freaking u out. Do my symptoms seem like a panic attack and why do they just randomly happen? It's not like something triggers it it just happens every now and then. What can I do stop it

Answer:
I suffer from panic attacks, and I can tell you that you’re definatly having them. There could be a trigger that you're not aware of, or you could have social anxiety disorder, anxiety disorder, or panic disorder like me. Definatly go see your doctor, and don't worry because most likely if there's no trigger, there's nothing wrong with you except a lower level of seretonan (sp) in your brain, and nothing medication can't fix. :)

I don't know a lot about this but i kinda used to have this. It was like a ton a stress was packing down on me. I didn't have any time to do anything and that was all i could think about. I wouldn't think straight and a lot of the time, noises and what i saw was a blur. I would just close my eyes and breath very slowly. In through your nose, out through your mouth. Just calm down and try to think about the positive in your life.

i get that too… i just began ignoring it as it seems to happen less lately but if it starts again i am going to see a docter just to be in the safe side.. but don't take my advice about ignoring it… i would see a docter ^-^ bu as the other answers state… it sounds a lot like panic attacks but it is worth getting checked out

Answer:
i have something called panic disorder. so i know exactly how you feel. and believe me its really scary. but you def want to take care of it before it gets worse. so my recommendation is to go see a physicist. they have the ability to prescribe you meds to balance you out as well as help you by giving you what they call “tools” to deal with it. good luck.

Answer:
Yep that’s classic panic attacks sometimes it can be caused by chemicals in your brain not working correctly or your body could be dumping to much Adrenalin at the wrong times you should see your doctor they will be able to help you out

Answer:

i suggest you go to the doctor.

Answer:
how old are you - see your family doc

Answer:
You probably have anxiety. Panic attacks happen to nearly everyone. I started getting them in the 8th grade, that's when they were the worst. I never went to the doctor because I thought I was the only one with that problem. I was always nervous and felt like throwing up in class, and got dizzy and sweaty palms. I ended up going home 80% of the time these attacks occurred. It's a horrible and scary experience. You can go to your doctor and see if he/she diagnoses you with anxiety and might give you prescription meds. I guess my attacks went away over time, I learned how to deal with them and realized they were only in my head and nothing is wrong with me. Actually, to tell you the truth it was when SARS was a big topic and I told my mom I thought I had SARS! haha. Now I am 18 and they occurr less often. Nearly never. If they are ruining your life, then I strongly suggest you make an appointment with your local physician.good luck.
