she’s taking Abilify. and i doubt that she has bi polar. i think it is more of her environment. the family is always loud and yells at the dumbest things. how can a 3 year old have it? is that possible? and what kind of side effects come with that drug? anyone know of toddlers with bi polar?

Answer:
Why is this child taking Abilify?!?! That can be really dangerous for a toddler!

Go to a different doctor. The doc she is currently seeing seems to have no clue. Bipolar is a lifelong illness and it usually takes years to develop and even longer to diagnose. I don't even think it's possible that a 3-year-old can have bipolar because their brains have not fully developed yet to the point that it would be possible to tell. Chances are, her environment are causing her to behave in ways that mimic bipolar. It is much, much more likely that she has some form of anxiety because her family is so chaotic.

Answer:
I have never heard of a toddler being diagnosed as “bi polar” Toddlers are so young and innocent still it is hard to believe she’s on such a med. She probably needs to be out of the yelling and loud environment. Toddlers are very emotional anyways because they’re still learning how to deal with their emotions and what they mean. If It was one of my kids I would definetly take her off the meds and let her figure out her emotions herself.

Answer:
i believe its impossible to correctly diagnose a 3 year old with bi polar, that’s just way too young. i mean a 3 year old doesnt know what being really depressed feels like, or what the crazy ups and downs feels like so how would the doctor know how she’s feeling? but im no doctor so what would i know? if ur worried about her u could always call a doctor and have a chat just to be sure. and if u have any concerns about her wellbeing then act on it. her environment does sound a bit unstable though.

Answer:
I’ve never head of a baby having bipolar. That’s so ridiculous. check out this website

Answer:
I would say ADHD or Autism over Bipolar, especially at such a young age! Goodness. Get the child to a different doctor ASAP.
