Someone I know has a huge anger problem. He has broken a remote, a laptop, a chair, another remote, and steals things. One minute he'll be screaming and cursing, and the next minute he'll be saying something sweet, or someone's name to himself in a squeaky voice. (Like when people talk to babies or puppies.) He always talks to himself. Does he have some problem like Bipolar disorder, or something?
Answer:
It sounds like the person may, at the very least, be suffering from a personality disorder. Explosive outbursts can be indicative of mania, but the symptoms you describe sound more like an Axis II diagnosis of a personality disorder.
For the record, "split personality" dual identity disorder, or multiple personality is generally not considered as a valid diagnosis in the field.
Answer:
That sounds like a personality disorder, not bipolar.
Answer:
no….that's not BP. it's probably a split personality.
or other personality disorders.
if he was BP…he'd have a lot more mood swings and he wouldn't be snapping back that fast. i have severe mania,
i don't talk to myself….i mean, i do when i try to rehearse
a speech or to remember something…but i don't have
conversations with myself….
maybe schizophrenia or split personality.
