Answer:
When you are not bored, how saturated or concentrated is your activity? What I mean is, is everything TO THE X-TREME (misspelled on purpose)? I think that it is an unfortunate byproduct of the modern age that since infancy, we are taught to be highly stimulated – television, sports, school, et cetera.

If this is the case, I think that you need to find a way to "water down" the exciting activities so that you will be more content with less. If you go to a movie every other night, cut it down to once a week. If you spend hours a day online, cut down to a few hours a week. By lowering the requirements you require to be entertained, you will be happier in a slower-paced setting.

Also, working and volunteering help a lot. Instead of selfish activities that leave you bored, try helping out in the community a little bit. A sense of accomplishment in doing a good deed lasts so much longer than being entertained momentarily.

You are not surprised by anything, anymore, are you? Stop believing everything you are told, keep yourself wide awake doubting: this big, fat world will surprise you in a way you can't even imagine by now.
