I'm not even 20 yet, and I sometimes have stabbing pains on the left side of my chest. Is this normal? I've told my doctor several times and he just seems to blow it off.

Answer:
If your blood pressure and heart rate are normal, there is probably not a thing seriously wrong. If you are an active person, I would suspect intercostal inflammation from overwork of the musculature.
