I got my ear pierced December 17th, 08, and my ear is still crusting, puss coming out, sometimes hurting, and etc.. what the hell LOL! I don't know why my ear hasn't healed yet and I've been taking care of it.

You might be allergic to the type of earring they put in… by taking care of it, do you mean you are turning the earring daily and applying peroxide or alcohol…a lot with a cotton ball so that you can feel it go inside the hole? Peroxide is ideal because it fizzes and lets you know it is killing the infection….the puss is not good…I would suggest that if you didn't use peroxide, use it and if it's not better in 24 hours, go to the docs…you can get an internal infection from an infected ear lobe…one that can get in your blood stream and cause endocarditis which is an infection of the heart…..it's a long time already and that should have healed…good luck

What exactly is your definition of “taking care of it”? How and where did you get it done? Is it your earlobe, or another part of your ear?
To be honest, if you'd been taking care of it, you WOULDN'T be having this problem unless you have an allergy to the metal.
Answer:
I have lots if piercings and I had absolutely no problem using Bactine twice a day. It also helps immediately if your also experiencing pain. Also, don't touch with dirty hands! Use good jewelry nothing cheap or synthetic and don't change jewelry until it heals. Hope that helps!
Answer:
my ear has been like that before, try a real type of earring, gold or sterling silver or something. Also, put antibiotics around it. It will take a while, maybe a week, but it should work.
Answer:
maybe you're allergic to the jewelry that's in it. try sterling silver
