how do i prevent it from blistering, what should i put on it.

it really hurts.

Answer:
Ice immediately, go to the drug store or Walgreen's and purchase some burn salve. DO NOT PUT BUTTER ON IT! That's an old wife's tail, doesn't work only makes it worse.

Here's a home remedy that is not bad for you and it works, take some Baking Powder and a paper towel. Put like 1/4 cup in the paper towel & fold it so it all stays in. Get it wet & place it on the worst area. It will only last for a bit, but it will give you a break from the pain
