what is actually happening when your muscles twitch?! Are they breaking down, or just convulsing? Whats the deal? I cant find much on google or anything.

Answer:
Muscle twitching can come from a few reasons. One is from them being exhausted and the other is from when the nerves are firing to just a few fibers. Most of us have these fasciculation during the course of the day. They’re most notable just before falling asleep. Another time that one would feel them is under extreme stress, the left eye muscles will twitch. So having them after an extreme bout of exercise is not uncommon. They’re also a sign of some neurological diseases but the average person has them all day long and most of them go unnoticed.

Answer:
it's electric pulses from the nerves.
