Ok well about 3 days ago I went the doctor (because my back was in a lot of pain). My doctor stated that it was a strained muscle. So know I'm on medication for it. My physician stated that it will go away in two weeks but I’m hurting so much. Does anyone have any ideas that might help me? Thanks a million!

Answer:
Since the doctor feels it is a strained muscle then treat it this way. Place ice on the area for fifteen minutes every hour. This will deaden the pain and actually grant you to move more freely. There are some easy exercises that can also be done to help free up the lower back. Lie on the floor with the legs straight out. Slowly bring one knee to the chest and bear hug it into the chest. Hold that position for ten seconds and relax slightly. Repeat that cycle four more times and slowly bring the leg back to the floor. Repeat the cycle using the opposite leg. At the end of the last repetition keep the leg up and bring the other leg up to meet it. Bear hug both legs into the chest and hold for ten seconds. Relax but don't let the legs out and then repeat the cycle four more times. On the last movement do not return the legs to the floor. Slowly bring one leg to the floor and place the foot flat on the floor with the knee bent at 90 degrees. Now bring the other leg down to join it. With both knees together slowly rotate them across the body attempting to touch the outer knee to the floor on the same side. Rotate the legs to the other side. This movement can be done as many times as you like beyond the five that are called for. Bring the knees back up to the starting position and do a bridge. That is where the buttocks is lifted off the floor as high as possible. Do this five times. This is great for stabilizing the pelvis. When standing squeeze the buttocks as hard as you can as this will help to keep the pelvis stabilized. Hope this helps.

Answer:
As an substitute to medication, have a proper evaluation of your neck, midback and lower back including a consultation, examination and x-rays (if necessary). A chiropractor will be able to help you with this. A strained muscle can be taken care of, but it takes time. If this just occurred try to apply ice and use a natural pain relieving gel like BioFreeze ( http://www.arc4life.com/site/615058/prod… - that will help the muscle spasm. At this point, you might not be able to do proper exercise, but small stretches under a hot shower may help as well. A chiropractor will be able to determine if you’ve an alignment issue, and that will the ideal bet for you at this hope. Hope this helps you.

Answer:
Oh, ouch! I'm sorry!

This might help:

-Lay on a heating pad

-Do something to take your mind off of the pain (watch a motion picture, read a book, etc.)

-Have someone just lightly tickle/massage your back (not really hard though, or it might mess it up worse)

I hope this helps, and I hope you feel better! :)

Answer:
I love my heating pad. Take a hot shower, take your medicine, lie on a heating pad and watch TV or something. You might need a couple of chocolate bars or an ice cream cone.

Answer:
if you’ve a partner get them yo give you a tiny rub with baby oil? I suffer with a bad back also… my partner gives me a back rub each evening and it releases the build up of tension that arises during the day x

Answer:
Try putting some ice on your back or a heating pad. It might also help if you lay flat on your stomach….

Hope I helped a little! I hope your back gets better soon!

Answer:
If you feel this is more than a strained muscle, go to emergency and fake 'passing out'..then they’ll take you seriously. Do x-rays..etc.
