Why is good nutrition so important during adolescence?

To help your destined normal growth you need plenty of protein, calcium (milk) and zinc and a deficiency can stunt it.

During adolescence, if you live on junk food and overeat and get fat then you could have weight problems for the rest of your life as your body is still developing and if your genes get used to being overfed then they become weight gaining genes with a very slow metabolism.

A lot of people with a very slow metabolism, that gives them a lot of weight problems, probably overate when they were adolescents. Bad nutrition and overeating during adolescence can give you real problems later on.

Fat adolescents are prone to grow into fat adults.
