I got my snakebites done and the left one is healed but the right one still hurts. It hurts when it so much as moves. And it always puts pus like stuff out and makes it crusty on the outside so I have to clean it off before I can even take it out.

On the inside of my lip it is sorta like a little swolen white spot as well. And when I feel that stop it is really thick like. Sorta hard whereas the rest of my lip is soft.

Any ideas?

Answer:
Lip piercings can take 2-3 months to heal.

Stop taking the Jewelry out, and stop rotating it. Both of those will prolong healing time.

Do the sea salt soaks for the outside and alcohol-free mouthwash for the inside and leave it alone.

The white stuff coming out of it is normal, it's called lymph and will stop after the piercing is healed. If the discharge turns a greenish yellow that’s an indicator of an infection. The crusties are also normal, it's because the lymph hardens.

Answer:
you must have thought that both piercings should have healed by now since one of your piercings have already healed but the average healing time of a lip piercing ranges from 2-3 months. you most likely discontinued cleaning and taking care of your lip once you saw that one of your piercings are already healed. take care of your lip and possibly see a physician because the piercing might be infected

here are some tips on taking care of your piercing:

Cleansing

First of all, be very careful when brushing your teeth so you don't catch your new Jewelry, and always follow your brushing with a piercing cleansing so bacteria from your teeth doesn't get left behind in the opening.

Dip a cotton ball in saline and saturate the outer portion of the piercing two to three times each day.

Rinse the inner side of the piercing with diluted, non-alcoholic mouthwash, or a solution of 1/8 teaspoon of salt in eight ounces of lukewarm water.

Avoid:

Kissing

Other types of oral affection

Smoking

Alcohol

Sleeping on your face

Excessive fiddling with your new Jewelry

Answer:
Sounds like there might be an infection on that side, easy to do with lip piercings.

Think about going to a physician and getting a treatment ointment that’s safe to use around your mouth. DON'T take the piercing out unless the doctor tells you to. Leaving it in lets drainage occur and prevents an abscess from forming.

Use an anti-bacterial mouth rinse a couple times a day. Try swishing salt water in your mouth and let it run onto the pierced area…(sounds gross, tastes gross, REALLY works).

Answer:
you’ve an infection. go to the physician for some antibiotics. if you want to keep the piercing, i wouldn't take it out, but i would clean around the piercing regularly with a q-tip. using organic therapeutic grade essential oil of lavender will kill bacteria immediately and help the skin heal without scarring - but you still need some anti-biotics. get the lavender oil from a health food store or on-line. good luck!

Answer:
Go back to the place where you got it pierced and tell them.

Sorry.. its all i could think of.

When i got my ears done they took WAYY over the normal time to heal, and they kept going crusty and bleeding.

eventually they cleared up.

Good luck.

Snakebites are hawt :)

Answer:
If it's not healed then you don't need to be taking it out you’ve to turn in everyday and rinse your mouth with mouthwash everyday. My sisters snake bite on the left side had to just stay out because she messed with it so much it got infected. I have a Monroe its healed though

Answer:
They can take up to 8 weeks to heal properly. It might be infected though. Carry one cleaning it regularly and if it doesn't improve then go back to the piercer for some advice.

Answer:
You’ve an infection. Massive Time.

Get that thing… whatever it is …out and let your lip heal.

If you don't you're gonna end up with a mess. At the very least a nasty scar.

Answer:
It means you’ve Aids

Answer:
it's infected…get some antibiotics straight away and keep your mouth as clean as possible…swish your mouth with listerine after anything goes into it…listerine kills tons of bacteria…it will sting like a mofo, but it's worth it…
