I know i have scoliosis. My mother wont take me to the doctor because she doesnt have money. my back is slightly curved and doesnt look good. how can i improve it? i dont have a pool so i cant swim


Answer:
If it isn't bad enough for bracing or surgery, you may be able to improve through exercises or physical therapy. If it becomes painful though, you should see a scoliosis specialist.

While scoliosis exercises can’t prevent the progression and worsening of the curve, it can however minimize the decrease in the functional capability of the spine.

Exercises:

YOGA:
~crocodile twist, supine knee chest-twist, passive-back arch, trunk and pelvic exercises

Weight-bearing exercises
~ such as gymnastics, walking, running, soccer, dance, pilates, etc.

Other Exercises:
~Leg and arm extensions, triceps raise, back extension, standing raise, bent-over raise, one-arm row, and upright row

you hav to see a doc..try seeing the school nurse when ur at school, and maybe shell lead you in that direction, but you absolutely must see a doc, and wear a brace to make ur spine striaght! ( :

i have kyphosis, which is similar to scoliosis. i stretch out my back a lot, and that helps with the pain.
