it is not the lab's responsibility to inform you of results, and in fact it would be absolutely improper for a lab to ever call you with results -
you need the doctor to go over results with you and help you interpret what those results mean. That's why the results go to the doctor, and it is his job to discuss those with you either by phone, or at a follow up visit
