Its quite possible that they demonstrated to their doctors their sobriety and were approved for the transplants.

If you have even met a Medical doctor who has turned down a ah-hem “bribe”…I will call you a liar….since most doctors receive things as common as “free” stethoscopes and pen lights as medical students all the way up to free vacations, swimming pools, and even cash from pharmaceutical companies. It is not a far stretch to think a Medical Dr. got a lil payola for those transplants…maybe a lil notoriety at least?
