I've had the stutter for my whole life. Please help.

Answer:
Well, I would say the key is to be speaking with CONFIDENCE. Practice is also really important. I know people might have told you this already but guess what? It is true. Speak to yourself about the girl you like, make up dialogues, evaluate your thoughts. Maybe sing. You have to keep talking.

Also, be confident in what you say. By this I dont mean speaking loudly or wearing a smartass expression when talking. Be sure of what to say. And say it.

And remember- there are loads of people with stutters. You dont have to feel too bad for yourself. You seem to be REALLY wanting to cure it. You will. Its that simple. If you really want it, you WILL get it. Sometimes people dont get what they want because they dont REALLY want it THAT bad. You seem like you do- you will.

Talk more, repeat stuff, be sure, dont hesitate, think before speaking.

Answer:
There is no “cure” for stammering/stuttering, but techniques can be learned that will enable the speaker to control his/her speech so there is less stammering/stuttering.

Contact The Stuttering Foundation of America as that is where our family got help. Their book “Self Therapy for the Stutterer” worked wonders after working through it step by step.

Be careful about the electronic devices that are worn in your ear; they do not work for every stutterer and even if they work at first, the effects wear off over time so you have wasted your money. It is better to go to a speech specialist in stuttering or learn the techniques yourself and practice them until they are a part of your life.

Answer:
when your nervous, it will happen.

so, the way forward is slow down, don't let anything rush you, take your time , nothing is that vital to get you all rushed , concentrate on the other person, tell them you have a stutter, and talk to them focusing on them alone, that's one way to forget your difficulty.

It might help, I hope.

Answer:
You have to take your time when speaking- this means you may draw out some syllabuls at first, but that will correct it self in time. Every time you stutter, you have to start again and slow down.

My younger brother had a really bad stutter and our familoy had to do that with him until he was cured. It can be cured, but you need patience and commitment.

Answer:
if none of the above works, there is a device worn in the ear that will delay what you hear that will help you, i can't remember the name, though.

Answer:
I doo. Try slowing down what you say by 75 % and you won't stutter. Try it. When you get flustered remember to slw it down even more.

Answer:
Singing everything will last while doing this. Shyness may be the cause. Practice in the mirror.
