It's normal to have aches, in the body, mind, and the soul if you do too much or over extend them.
Anytime you begin to do something you haven't done in a long time or for extended periods of time, you’ll “ache” as you say. Your body, muscles, mind, etc, are doing something they’ve not done for a long time, and getting back into shape will cost in aches.

Yes and thats a sign that you excerised correctly and got a good work out. The aches and soreness is from the muscle fibers tearing during working out. The soreness is the fibers growing back to repair the damage. When they grow back they get stronger and tighter. Keep up the good work.
