I've done so well since last Sunday, I've lost 5lbs in a week, I've eaten healthily but I've exercised every day like my life depended on it and it;s really paying off…..I had a healthy breakfast this day but gave in at dinner time and had chips with my little boy.I'm gutted!Does it necessarily mean I've messed it all up?

No, it won't undo all of your hard work… It is important to have 'treats' whilst you are dieting, otherwise you'll just get depressed. It sounds like you’re doing a very good job - keep up the good work…

Totally not! But whatever you do, don't “punish” yourself for the chips by not eating later on. The ideal thing to do when you've strayed off your healthy eating is to just get right back on track with the next regular meal. If you start skipping meals because you think you need to make up the calories, you're prone to gain even more weight because your body will store the calories instead of burning them.

try this, cut up a potato into chip shapes, part boil them, then put them in an oven tray with a drizzle of olive oil and bake, they come out like chips but with hardly any oil used, they're lovely, and if you've had chips once dont worry or be gutted, you havent messed up, good luck with the diet xxx
