I’ve had a pain whenever i eat between my wisdom tooth and my molar tooth. I’ve noticed there has been this little gap between the too teeth and my wisdom tooth is slightly higher than the molar. Whenever i apply pressure between this gap it hurts enormously. Please help!
PS - I have braces, and my orthodontist says i am toothing, but i think otherwise.

Answer:
Well, a wisdom tooth is a molar, so I believe you’re experiencing pain between your second molar and your wisdom tooth, which is also called your third molar. The only way to rule out a cavity is to see your regular dentist. If it isn’t a cavity, then probably you’re experiencing food impaction. In other words, food is getting jammed between your teeth. Use some dental floss. One trick in dealing with food or other foreign materiel between teeth is to tie a knot in the floss (just a small one) and then maneuver the floss so that you can carefully use the knot to bump the food out from between the teeth. I did state carefully.
