I just got my braces yesturday and this hook thing on my braces sorta bothers me…what’s it for? Oh and is it normal for one of teeth (my front right tooth) to injured worse than the others?? thanks?

Answer:
Those hooks are for the elastics (or some refer to them as rubberbands)!

And yes some teeth will injured more then others at different times.

Answer:
The hook is for the rubber bands. I used to wonder what they were for, until I got rubber bands a few weeks ago. It's normal to be in a lot of pain having braces. It took me weeks [Almost a month] to get over the pain. You'll start to adjust to them. Btw If the hook bothers you, put some wax on it. It might help, but never does for me. So I don't use it.

Answer:
Later, you will probably get rubber bands to hook on it. You'll get used to it being there. Yeah, it's normal, the pain will go away, but just take some ibuprofen or something in the meanwhile. :)

Answer:
The hook on your braces is for rubber bands to hook on for later and it is completely normal for teeth to be soar or achy, your teeth are being moved into the right place
