I had a lot of dental work done by the time that I was nine. I have a cavity now (from prior bad dental work..filling fell out) and I don't want to go..it doesn't injured yet…but I know it will eventually. I had three root canals….3. Massive painful needles stuck into my gums…drills…yeah, I think I’ve a phobia. Does anyone else fear the dentist? Or just don't want to go and avoid it by all means necessary?

Answer:
Why don't you go to a sedation dentist? This helps with your anxiety-everyone has phobias-some people have fear of flying etc.

Look on the web for a sedation dentist in you area.

Answer:
I had a phobia of it until very recently. I switched dentists, and now after the initial shot I don't feel any pain during fillings. The root canal didn't hurt near as much as it used to. Maybe you could find a new dentists? You can look up reviews about dentists in your area and select the one with the ideal record. Maybe this will help you feel less nervous

Answer:
I hate going, too. I know it's necessary but having orthodontic work done for 8 years and some slight surgery on one tooth I know I have to do it. But, yeah, I dread it. Especially the needles.
