Retainers help? …..?

I just got my top and bottom retainers this day. I talk funny. The orthodontist said just keep talking. But I'd like to know, is there any special techniques or things anyone did to help them speak normal again? thanks :]

I've had mine for a while *3 years) and still speak weird. But, the second I got mine I got in the automobile and sang my heart out and just went about my business. That helps. Also, I'd turn the radio on at home and sing in the mirror and focus on how I spoke and sounded. It helps to speak in the mirror or record yourself.

No, you might begin spitting a lot more to, but u cant make u talk normal you just have to wait until you get used to it
