i hate the damn dentist office!

Answer:
Hello, To tell you the exact fact…their is no exact sequence of events that provides you with a tooth cleaning…You and your fingerprints and your “teeth” are like no other persons. Because of that the Hygienist will perform the procedures that ideal clean your teeth in a safe and proficient manner. The Dentist will want Xrays to determine the overall health of your teeth and to specifically see if there are cavities in between teeth that can't be seen visually or detected with a scaler instrument. As for hating the dental office, that feeling is one of those that’s generated as a fad by people who don't actually know how safe and comfortable dental procedures really are…..Some people use the “hate” game to justify not going when in reality they know nothing about what really happens there….You’ll be pleasantly surprised and your teeth will love you for taking them in for their physical. You don't want them to just up and die from neglect do you…See a Dentist ASAP…..finding your self drinking a steak because you’ve no teeth isn’t a happy experience. Good luck and I wish you well.

Okay. First, you may be asked to brush your teeth before the check-up. After this, you sit in the chair and they scrape off the tartar and plaque that you failed to remove when brushing (whether it be at the dentist or at home). I don't kow the specific order in which the rest goes in, but I'll give it a try. Next, they brush and floss your teeth (again) and tell you what you need to improve on while brushing and flossing. After that, they usually brush flouride (vitamins and protectant for your teeth) onto your teeth and then you rinse. That's pretty much it and I hope I helped! :)

Answer:
Well it depends if you are an adult or child and on what dentist you go to. Some are different

For a child: You lay back in the chair and they'll use a mirror and a stick thingy and just look around your mouth to see how your teeth are. (not painful) Then usually you choose what flavor toothpaste and they begin cleaning your teeth. This takes a while. They let you swish water around in your mouth if you need to. Then you swish fluoride in your mouth for 1 minute. Then someone else comes in to see if you have cavities.

Adult: The same except you don't swish around fluoride.

Hope I could help! :-D

Answer:
They scrape tartar (plaque buildup) of off your teethe with little, sharp metal instruments, and then they polish your teeth with a tiny rotating brush and paste.

Many dentists now rub your gums with a topical anesthetic to reduce the discomfort…ask for it.

Answer:
