What do they specificly do when you go get your teeth cleaned at the dentist?

Okay. First, you may be asked to brush your teeth before the check-up. After this, you sit in the chair and they scrape off the tartar and plaque that you failed to remove when brushing (whether it be at the dentist or at home). I don't kow the specific order in which the rest goes in, but I'll give it a try. Next, they brush and floss your teeth (again) and tell you what you need to improve on while brushing and flossing. After that, they usually brush flouride (vitamins and protectant for your teeth) onto your teeth and then you rinse. That's pretty much it and I hope I helped!

Well it depends if you are an adult or child and on what dentist you go to. Some are different

For a child: You lay back in the chair and they'll use a mirror and a stick thingy and just look around your mouth to see how your teeth are. (not painful) Then usually you choose what flavor toothpaste and they begin cleaning your teeth. This takes a while. They let you swish water around in your mouth if you need to. Then you swish fluoride in your mouth for 1 minute. Then someone else comes in to see if you have cavities.

Adult: The same except you don't swish around fluoride.
