Whenever I've been having trouble falling asleep, I would use Nyquil, or I would use Benadryl instead. But I have a huge test 3 days from now and I need my sleep so I have the ability to concentrate.
But I don't want to end up all sick and everything too
Is it safe to combine the two?
(Benadryl Allergy 25 mg)
(Nyquil Cold & Flu Cherry)

Answer:
I forget what ingredients are on Nyquil but I believe it has an antihistamine as one of the ingredients

Check the bottle and if it does, benadryl is also an antihistamine so it is not suggested to take both because you are doubling up the antihistamine

If the Nyquil has no antihistamine in it then you can take both and you most likely will sleep very well

Answer:
Most pepole dont know but Unisom sleep aid gel tabs have Diphenhydramine HCI “ONLY ACTIVE INGREDIANT” its usally about 50 mg same with Benadryl only one active ingrediant Diphenhydramine HCI only it comes liquid in a bottle you make the educated decision and be safe is all i can say
look on bottle Report Abuse

Answer:
oh yeah more than 3000 mgs of acetaminophen in a 24 hour period which is very simple to do with a liquid or pain pills like hydrocodone or percocet causes imediate liver damage i know iv done it dont freak out if youv dont it just dont kill your liver i may have? Report Abuse

Answer:
1. You shouldn't take products containing acetaminophen (such as NyQuil) only to help you sleep. They’re bad for your liver.

2. You should avoid long term sedative use unless you’re being supervised by a doctor. You can become tolerant or dependent and then you REALLY won't be able to sleep even with larger doses.

3. With those things in mind, for short term help I suggest you take 50mg of Benadryl. See your doctor to treat long-term insomnia.

Do not take both as the Nyquil contains doxylamine, which is also a sedative.

Answer:
I wouldn't, you don't know how your body will react to both of them at the same time. If you want to sleep now, I would just take one of them, not both.

Answer:
i woundnt think so because usually benadryl makes people drousy and nyquil can make people drunk and if u double downers that’s nooooottttt good

Answer:
No! Both of those products can really knock you out as it is. I wouldn't mix them.

Answer:
no.

dont do it.
