if I advertise that I’m a student and not licensed?

Answer:
I work in a student clinic. Outside of school I do massage to practice and ask for donations for gas and the like. Some people are generous and some are not. So I’ve a good balance. Basically I’m making nearly two hundred a week on tips and donations. Good luck!

Answer:
No you can not charge for massage until you’re fully licensed if you live in a say that requires licensing. It is illegal and you will jeopardize your whole career if you get caught.

You can work on friends and others and take donations.

If you’re in an unlicensed say, you can.

Answer:
Depends on where you live. I know that where I live you can't unless you’re doing an internship and you can’t charge anyone for your services. Check with your local police department or the state license board for massage therapists if your state has one they’ll be able to help you more.

Sorry, but without knowing which state you live in that's about all I can tell you.

Answer:
It depends on where you are. Some says are not restricted the way most are. I've graduated and passed my boards, but I haven't gotten all of my liscensure paperwork in and where I’m (Iowa) I can't practice until ALL of that’s taken care of.

In all likelyhood it won't be legal until you’ve the right credentials.

Answer:
you need to be fully qualified and insured if not you might be liable if you injured any one or cause them problems you can insure yourself as a student but for treating un paying clients only with their written permission.

Answer:
Like the other answer, school needed, you most show that you know how to work the specific mussel's.

Answer:
For the most part. Most place you apply want experience out of school. And most places require a license. It all depends on where you try to work at.

Answer:
It depends on the say. Most says require a business license . I would check your state laws online
