Can accupuncture help with neurological disorders?

Are there any areas in which accupuncture is intrinsically ineffective?

1) … is due to irrepairable damage. Example: Parkinson's disease where brain cells die can’t be cured with acupuncture. Alzheimer can be slowed down but not cured either.

2) … has causes other than meridian dysfunction - i.e. emotional, mental or purely physical causes.

We have to never forget that acupuncture meridians are a system of distribution of energy, and if this distribution functions normally but the problem has another cause, acupuncture will not help.

Bad distribution of energy can often be a symptom of the problem rather than the cause. If you “cure” the symptom only, you haven't cured the problem.

This being said, acupuncture is a wonderful complementary tool which is well worth trying in many cases.
